The Pumpkin is... book went home today. Your child illustrated it and has practiced reading it many times. I encourage you to listen to your child read it. If they have trouble, that's ok, but praise their effort and urge them to use the pictures to help remind them of the words. The greatest gift you can give your boy or girl is to take the time and interest to listen to them read. Some of my fondest memories of my dad are when we would read together after dinner. He heard "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss about 100 times! It encouraged a love of reading that has never gone away.
